CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY (CSR)
CSR or corporate social responsibility is a process of continuous improvement. We have integrated economic, environmental and social considerations into the management of our business.
CSR or corporate social responsibility is a process of continuous improvement. We have integrated economic, environmental and social considerations into the management of our business. Our CSR policy focuses on the three Ps:
People: the social dimension of the company. The effects within and outside the company.
Planet: the environmental dimension of the company. The effects of our activity on the natural environment.
Profit: the economic dimension of the company.
An economic activity does not necessarily mean always producing more or producing as much as possible, it also increasingly involves producing better quality that is more relevant to the consumer. We are aware that implementing this orientation, organising CSR in practice and measuring its impact cannot be done overnight. A step-by-step approach is inevitable, but this approach must also start from a broader vision of mankind, the planet and the future.
The UCB Brewery is working to reduce its impact on the environment and is adopting an eco-responsible approach. Thus, we recycle our bottles, we give our spent grains to farmers (spent grains are a delicacy for pigs and the poultry industry).
We provide drinking water wells to communities. Six (6) currently in operation throughout the country.
We regularly organize health walks across the country to encourage people to practice sports. We offer scholarships to talented and underprivileged children wishing to join the Kadji Sport Academy.
We support education through the KADJI DEFOSSO JOSEPH foundation by granting scholarships and awards to the best students, teachers and schools.
Through the "UCB GRADUATE PROGRAM", we offer pre-employment internships to young graduates with five years of higher education. Many of these young people end up being recruited within our brewery.
